Atlanta Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer found not guilty in DUI trial

ATLANTA, Ga. — A jury found Atlanta Hawks head coach Mike Budenholzer not guilty of DUI.

Jurors wanted to see the dashcam video again that was taken of Budenhozler's arrest in August 2013.

Budenholzer took the stand and admitted he had one and a half glasses of wine but never felt impaired.

For nearly three years Budenholzer maintained he had had only a single glass of wine but on the stand confessed to having more than that.

“In my mind, I had one glass of wine,” Budenhozler said. “A second glass of wine was ordered.  A second glass was served.  I didn't finish it, so in my head, I had one glass of wine.”

Budenholzer's attorneys tried to minimize the dashcam video suggesting the coach was wobbly during the field sobriety test because of past foot and ankle injuries and that the redness in his eyes was due to a chronic medical condition.

Budenholzer's former boss Danny Ferry was at that dinner three years ago.

He didn't feel Budenholzer was impaired at all.
