Police arrest man in connection with murder of transgender woman

SOUTH FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — Police have made an arrest in the murder of a transgender woman in South Fulton County.

Tee Tee Dangerfield, 32, was gunned down inside her car July 31 at a College Park apartment complex.

She was taken to the hospital, but died on the way there.

Surveillance video from the 50 Yard Line sports bar and grill shows Dangerfield's last moments before she was found dead.

Tyrone Kemp, 26, was arrested Tuesday at a Union City car dealership where he worked.

Only Channel 2 Action News was there when Kemp was taken into custody and charged with murder.

“Did you kill Tee Tee Dangerfield?” Channel 2’s Nefertiti Jaquez asked.

A man was taken into custody in connection with the murder of a woman in South Fulton County.

Kemp only shook his head in response.

Investigators said they have evidence that proves Kemp was with Dangerfield when she died.

Police say they are unsure whether Dangerfield’s transgender identity was a factor in her killing.

Jaquez learned that while Kemp didn’t confess to the crime, he told investigators that he met up with Dangerfield before she was found dead.

Dangerfield’s family sent a statement which said: “Our family would like to express their significant gratitude to the College Park police department and the detectives who worked Tee Tee’s case. This arrest helps bring some closure to our grieving family.”
