Georgia's Little League World Series run comes to an end

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Despite tough losses to Hawaii and Japan in the U.S. Championship and Consolation games in the Little League World Series, the Little League team from Peachtree City made metro Atlanta proud.

The team lost 8 -2 to Japan Sunday in their final game of the series after losing their U.S. Championship big on Saturday.

Though it's not the outcome they had hoped for, you can bet the boys will go home with their head's held high and a lot of happy memories.

Channel 2's Chris Jose and photojournalist Oscar Carrillo de Albornoz have been in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, all weekend following the team.

Jose was there as the boys' manager, Patrick Gloriod, spoke to reporters after their loss to Hawaii.

"To see the level of disappointment on my kids' faces like they failed tells a lot about who they are. The fact that they think they could beat anybody.  That they could play anybody in the world tomorrow," ** said. "That's the kind of attitude you want to see from a team."
